Requirements: Running Charters During Covid-19 Virus Crisis Updated 5-29-2020 For the continued safety of our diving guests and the state mandate for wearing PPE and social distancing, we are taking the following steps on each of our charters. The steps we will take are; 1. All diver passengers must sign a affidavit attesting to the fact they don?t have any signs or symptoms of having Covid-19 or have been around people who have. 2. [UPDATED 5/29/20]: Prior to boarding our vessel, you must be wearing your PPE such as a mask. 3. All equipment must be assembled prior to placing it on-board and all non-essential equipment must be stored in or near your dive bag. 4. All diving passengers must bring their own water bottle and keep them in their own storage bags. 5. Dive Vessel will be washed down before and after each charter with fresh soap and water. 6. Each diver will handle their own gear when putting on and taking it off. 7. Antiseptic wash will be available for all passengers as needed. 8. All diver passenger will try as much as possible to minimize contact with others and will keep a safe and reasonable distance from all other passengers and crew members. 9. Port-a-potties will not be used on-board. All passengers must use restrooms at the marine or elsewhere prior to boarding. 10. When in the water, safe distancing must be observed to ensure minimal contact with other divers when on the surface 11. Due to the size of the boat, only 4 passengers will be allowed onboard to maintain social distancing requirements. 12. When Safe to do so, diving buddy teams must enter the water from the same side of the boat and must have their equipment staged on the same side when placing their equipment on-board. 13. Extra care must be taken while on-board to maintain your distance to other passenger whenever possible and practical. SUMMARY: These precautionary steps will be maintained until our state allows group gatherings as we have done in the past. Our Governor?s Phase 2 plan should hopefully ease current restrictions on our groups and diver community at large. YOUR COOPERATION AND PARTICIPATION WITH THESE SAFETY MEASURES ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED. DC Aquatic Specialties Inc.
