This is a Multi-Part Class that requires 40+ hours of work. The Detailed schedule will be formed on the first night of class.
You Must have your dive guide certification before taking this class.
This program provides candidates with the knowledge, concepts, and training necessary to organize and conduct the Assistant Instructor program. Candidates will learn how to evaluate and provide feedback to dive professional candidates in a variety of in-water and academic settings. Candidates who complete this program earn the SSI Assistant Instructor Trainer certification.

Skill Details: | The SSI Assistant Instructor program provides candidates with the knowledge and training necessary to perform the duties of an assistant instructor. These duties including conducting entry-level scuba training under the supervision of an Open Water Instructor, and independently conducting Scuba Skills Updates, Try Scuba, and Perfect Buoyancy programs. |
Requirements: | Minimum age: 18 years old. Have logged at least 60 open water dives totaling 40 hours or more. Have the following active status SSI certifications or an equivalent from a recognized training agency: Divemaster |
