Learn to Swim

Baby and Me

This is a fun and safe class in a warm water environment for caregiver and child. This class introduces baby to kicking, bubble blowing, and submerging underwater. Babies, who are already submerging, enjoy special, bonding time with caregiver. Through songs and games, little ones learn floating, and eight to ten second underwater breath control. We stress water safety. During class children are conditioned to roll on their back or turn and grab the wall of the pool in case they accidently fall in at some point in their little lives. Even very young children can use our techniques to learn how to get out of the water themselves.

Aqua Babies

"A special class for 2 year olds" who have completed the Baby and Me AND demonstrated breath control, strength, and independence in the water. Admission to this class is by referral from Baby and Me teachers only. Your child must be able to sit and follow directions without being held.

Aquatikes

This class is for three year olds who already swim five feet. Again, themes and games entertain these children while learning stroke development.

Preschool Beginner

This class is for preschoolers ages 4-5 who cannot swim. Themes and games create fun-filled lessons for learning how to swim.

Advanced Preschool Beginners

This class is for 4 and 5 year olds that have completed the goals and skills of the Preschool Beginners, but are still too young and small to be comfortable with the pace and maturity of the Beginner I class.

Beginner I

This is a class for six year olds and up who do not swim. Swimmers learn a relaxed, effective stroke for swimming at their natural buoyancy.

Beginner II

Is for children ages four and up that have had previous classes and have some swimming techniques already.

Beginner III

Is for children ages 4 and up that have graduated from our lower level classes. We will continue to work on stroke development building on skills and efficiency we have learned previous.

Intermediate I

For children 6 and up that have become comfortable in the water and are ready to bring their skill set to the next level.

Intermediate II

For children ages 6 and up that have graduated from our Intermediate I class. We are working on rhythmic breathing, freestyle, elementary backstroke and treading of water

Advanced I

Is for ages 7 and up that have graduated from our intermediate program. In this class we will work on competitive free, back and breast stroke.

Advanced II

Is for ages 7 and up and have graduated from our Advanced I program. A class for children who are currently performing competitive free, back, and breaststroke. The goal for this class is swimming the competitive butterfly stroke

Adult Swim

Even if you have taken swimming lessons before, even if you cannot wash your hair under the shower, even if you look at a body of water as a suffocating liquid that frightens you, you can learn to swim. Swimming is excellent exercise, but this is not a fitness program. This is a class designed to teach proper swimming technique to adults. There is a beginner level class for non-swimming adults and an advanced class for adults wishing to learn technique and advanced strokes. These skills may be used in future exercise training programs, however the water temperature in our pool is designed for teaching scenarios and is not recommended for distance or endurance purposes.

If you are already an adult swimmer, but would like to work on stroke development we can help with that too!

If you are interested in scuba we have a great kid’s club called Scuba Rangers that starts at 7 years old. For those a little older we teach full certification programs all the way through instructor for both swim and scuba.
